Tenax Multimat Erosion Control and Root Reinforcement Blanket
Tenax Multimat erosion mats are composed of two layers of high tenacity UV resistant polypropylene geogrid placed either side of a single central layer which is mechanically folded so to give loft to the mat. The layers are held together by mechanically stitching with a UV resistant polypropylene yarn.
The upper and lower geogrid layers provide a high tensile strength which minimises slumping / elongation of the mat and the folding of the central core limits crushing when filling with topsoil .

Tenax Multimat’s three dimensional form acts as mini-dams, this slows surface water run-off minimising gullying, soil and seed loss due to water flushing,
Tenax Multimat also perform as a plant / grass root reinforcement that readily drapes to follow the ground contour.

Tenax Multimat is a cost effective easily installed long term erosion protection system for moderate to high flow channels.
