Tenax LBO 370 Railgrid Pavement Stabilization Geogrid
Tenax Railgrid LBO geogrids can be used both within and under the ballast.
When placed within the ballast RailGrid limits deformation of the ballast layers by providing interlock along the plane of the geogrid. This reduces the formation of voids and therefore prolongs the life of the ballast.
When composite Railgrid (geogrid with bonded nonwoven geotextile attached) is placed directly on the subgrade a with the ballast placed over it, aggregate particles partially enter the apertures of the grid and are punched into the subgrade and are "locked-in" to create a strong and positive interlock along the plane of the grid. This locking mechanism enables the grid to resist horizontal movement of the aggregate which improves ballast performance and reduces settlement of the system.
